Hayley has been a client since 2015 when she discovered Copious at the Cobourg Waterfront Festival. She slowly started building her Copious Collection and with each market we got to know each other better. I learned that she was very kind, super supportive of local makers and she was focused on her career and working towards landing her dream job.
Her hard work paid off when she landed that job and then announced a new man in life. All the love she put out into the world was coming back tenfold. After announcing her engagement, she reached out to inquire about a custom bridal gown and I was thrilled when she wanted to incorporate fabric from her mom’s wedding gown into hers.
At this point, I had started to explore upcycling, so it seemed perfect that Hayley, a long-time client who had seen the evolution of Copious, would have my first upcycled wedding gown. Hayley knew she wanted a V-neck gown with sleeves and an A-line style. This concept ended up working out perfectly because in August she called to tell me she was pregnant! Everything was falling into place in Hayley's life, so I wanted her gown to be perfect to show off all that happiness.
Hayley was a designer’s dream client, she gave me a lot of trust to decide what details of her mom’s dress could be used and with a mixture of new fabric and her mom’s dress we made an original gown that had thoughtful touches from her parent’s wedding day. Each Copious Bride and I go on a special journey together, and I will forever cherish the experience Hayley and I had. We created a gorgeous gown and made memories that will be with us forever!
